President Bola Tinubu will personally lead the All Progressives Congress (APC) re-election campaign in 12 states ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with rallies scheduled to begin in Kaduna on October 24.
The party’s nationwide campaign timetable, released on Thursday, covers the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, with the campaign running from October 2026 to January 2027.
Tinubu’s planned appearances include Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on November 7; Plateau on November 14; Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 21; Maiduguri, Borno State, on November 25; Enugu on November 28; and Bauchi on November 29.
The President is also scheduled to lead rallies in Sokoto on December 5, Asaba, Delta State, on December 12, and Kano on December 17.
His campaign tour will extend to Yola, Adamawa State, on January 4, 2027, before the grand finale in Lagos on January 9.
The timetable comes days after Tinubu said he would not attend every campaign rally because he did not want to abandon governance while the party mobilised support for his re-election.
Speaking during the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday, the President indicated that he would participate in selected rallies while leaving other engagements to party leaders and campaign officials.
Beyond the President’s scheduled appearances, the APC timetable includes rallies in other states, among them Gombe on November 3, Nasarawa on November 4, Ekiti on November 5, Ebonyi on November 9, Jigawa on November 10, Ondo on November 11, and Edo on November 12.
Other scheduled rallies include Akwa Ibom on November 18, Anambra on November 19, Benue on November 30, Katsina on December 2, Ogun on December 3, Abia on December 7, Kogi on December 8, Osun on December 9, Kwara on December 10, Zamfara on December 14, Niger on December 16 and Taraba on December 19.
The schedule also lists Cross River for November 2, Kebbi for November 17, Yobe for November 16, Bayelsa for December 15, and Imo for December 30.
The APC is seeking to retain the presidency in 2027, with Tinubu expected to face opposition candidates in a contest likely to feature renewed efforts by opposition parties to consolidate their support.
