American singer Chris Brown has been handed an eight-month suspended prison sentence in the United Kingdom over his involvement in an attack on music producer Abraham Diaw at a London nightclub in February 2023.
Brown, 37, was sentenced on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Southwark Crown Court after pleading guilty to one count of affray in July.
The sentence was suspended for 12 months, meaning the singer will not serve immediate prison time but could face imprisonment if he breaches the terms of the suspension.
The case stemmed from an incident at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, central London, where Brown struck Diaw with a glass tequila bottle, hitting him twice on the head. The victim sustained head and knee injuries.
