The Wife of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), Chief (Mrs.) Temitope Adeola, has charged All Progressives Congress(APC) women across Ogun State to mobilise two million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Adeola and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The call was made at the Ogun State Political Women stakeholders forum held on Tuesday, November 03, 2026, which brought together women political leaders and other stakeholders to discuss the role of women in political mobilisation and the need for greater participation in the electoral process.

Speaking at the event, Chief (Mrs.) Adeola emphasised the importance of translating women’s numerical strength into meaningful political participation, noting that women constitute a significant proportion of registered voters in Ogun State.

She called on participants to adopt a grassroots mobilisation approach by engaging eligible voters, encouraging informed choices and promoting peaceful participation in the electoral process. According to her, the proposed two-million-vote target would require collective commitment and sustained engagement beyond the gathering.

“Every woman has the capacity to influence her community and contribute to the direction of our society. Imagine the impact if every woman here commits to engaging ten other eligible voters, informing them, encouraging them to participate and helping them make responsible decisions. Our goal is not simply to increase the number of women in politics, but to build an informed and active electorate. When women unite around a shared purpose, our collective influence becomes a powerful force for progress,” she added.

Also speaking, Wife of the Governor, Ogun State, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun urged women to harness their collective strength and influence to drive political mobilisation, noting that their ability to organise, build networks and connect with communities gives them an important role in determining electoral outcomes.

“Women must move beyond being passive supporters to becoming active drivers of political success. Our strength is not just in our numbers but in our ability to organise, mobilise and influence our communities. I charge every woman here to stand for unity, reach out to at least ten people, mobilise them and encourage them to vote for the APC. We must remain disciplined and committed until victory is secured for President Tinubu and Senator Yayi,” Abiodun said.

In her remarks, Deputy Governor, Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele who lauded the Abiodun-led administration for empowering more women assured the gathering that Senator Adeola would take the inclusion of women a notch higher once he is elected. Salako-Oyedele charged women to mobilise to deliver victory for all the APC candidates in Ogun State.

Among the key dignitaries who attended the event include the Deputy Governor Candidate, All Progressives Congress, Ogun State,Alhaja Kudirat Adegunwa-Balogun, past Deputy Governors, Ogun State, Alhaja Salmot Badru, Mrs. Yetunde Onanuga, former Senator, Chief Iyabo Anisulowo, former Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon.
