The General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has urged Nigerians to seek God’s intervention in tackling insecurity in the country.
Kumuyi spoke with journalists after a courtesy visit to Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia at the Government House.
The governor was represented by his deputy, Sam Ode. The cleric said God remained the ultimate solution to Nigeria’s challenges.
“We know that, when bad things happen, there are people who are responsible for it, but the people are not the solution. God is our problem solver,” he said.
He added, “God is waiting for us. He said, ‘If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and turn away from their sins,’ He is ready to solve their problems.”
He also commended the state government, saying, “Benue is making remarkable progress in infrastructure and education, despite visible challenges around insecurity.”
Speaking during the visit, Ode said Benue was blessed with agricultural and human resources.
He added that the Alia administration remained committed to building a peaceful, united, and inclusive state where all residents could thrive.
