The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Ogun State for the 2027 election, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has called on party members across Ogun West Senatorial District to remain united, work together, and embrace new entrants who recently joined the party, while intensifying grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections.

The senator made this call during the Ogun West APC Stakeholders’ Consultative Meeting held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the Asade Agunloye Pavilion, Empire Ground, Ilaro, Ogun State.

The stakeholders’ consultative meeting, which formed part of a broader engagement across the five local government areas in Ogun West Senatorial District, brought together party leaders, stakeholders, and members from Imeko-Afon, Ipokia, Ado-Odo/Ota, Yewa North, and Yewa South to foster greater engagement with stakeholders, strengthen party cohesion, and prepare members for the tasks ahead.

Addressing members, Senator Yayi urged party faithful to embrace the spirit of inclusiveness, stressing that the continued growth and electoral success of the APC depend on unity of purpose and collective commitment.

While encouraging party leaders to ensure that no member is left behind, he called for the speedy integration of new entrants from other political parties into the party, noting that every committed member has a role to play in strengthening the APC’s structure across the state.

“The strength of our party lies in our unity, not in our differences. As our party continues to grow, we must open our doors and hearts to those who have chosen to join us. Every genuine member who embraces the ideals of the APC deserves equal respect and an opportunity to contribute. Let our guiding principle be ‘Don’t leave anybody behind’ because every member has a role to play in building a stronger party. We must put aside personal interests, avoid divisions, and work together with one purpose to deliver good governance, secure greater victories for our people, and ensure the success of ‘Operation Deliver Your Polling Unit’ through the commitment and active participation of every member,” Yayi said.

The meeting was attended by prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including the APC Apex Leader in Ogun West, Chief Muftau Ajibola; the party’s deputy governorship candidate, Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Adegunwa-Balogun, and her husband, Hon. Abdulrazaq Balogun; Deputy Governor, Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, former Deputy Governor, Ogun State; Alhaja Salmot Badru, the Minister of State for Health and Social Services; Dr. Kunle Isiaq Salako, Aare Onakakanfo of Aworiland, Hon. Lai Taiwo, and former Ogun State governorship candidate; Hon. Adekunle Akinlade (Triple A).

Others include: former Speakers, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Suraj Adekunbi and Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo; former Ogun State Commissioner, Chief Samuel Aiyedogbon; APC senatorial candidate for Ogun West, Hon. Jimoh Ojugbele; Ogun State Commissioner for Budget, Hon.
