inDrive, a global mobility and delivery services platform, has launched its tricycle service, Keke, in Nigeria, expanding its fair-price model to three-wheelers and offering commuters a more affordable option for shorter trips.

The new service is a response to the growing demand for accessible and safe transportation, particularly among commuters travelling shorter distances. Designed for trips within an estimated 6–7 kilometre radius, the keke option offers a lower-cost alternative for completing shorter journeys.

In line with existing restrictions on keke operations along certain major roads and highways, the service will focus primarily on shorter-distance trips. It provides passengers with an additional mobility option that combines affordability, convenience, and safety.

According to the Country Manager, inDrive Nigeria, Timothy Oladimeji, the introduction of tricycles expands the company’s fair price model to a familiar and widely used mode of transportation in Nigeria.

Oladimeji explained that the service would provide a more accessible option for short trips while creating additional earning opportunities for drivers.

“The future of mobility is not simply about moving faster; it is about enabling broader economic participation. By making mobility more accessible while creating opportunities for drivers, we are contributing to a transportation system that works for more people. By introducing this service within the applicable regulations, inDrive is creating another way for passengers to move around their communities without having to spend beyond their means,” he said.
