The family of late Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has appealed for financial support for his wife and two daughters following his death.
The family made the appeal while announcing a Night of Tributes in honour of the singer, who died on October 14, 2026, after a sudden collapse
The tribute event, titled A Night of Tributes: Honouring the Life and Legacy of Toluwanisings, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 27, at 3pm at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State.
In an announcement shared through the singer’s verified Instagram account on Wednesday, October 21, the family described the gathering as an opportunity to remember his life, music and impact.
The post described the event as “a night of love, reflection, heartfelt tributes, cherished memories, and thanksgiving to God,” as the family continues to mourn the singer while holding on to its faith.
“Some lives leave footprints that time can never erase,” the post read. “Some voices may fall silent, but their songs, impact, and memories will forever echo in our hearts.”
Attendees have been asked to dress in white for the gathering.
Beyond the tribute arrangements, the family appealed to members of the public to support the singer’s wife and two daughters as they adjust to life without him.
The appeal has drawn calls for people to contribute towards the family’s needs, with supporters encouraging others to offer whatever assistance they can.
The planned event follows a candlelight procession held on Tuesday, October 20, in honour of the late gospel minister. Friends, fans and well-wishers gathered to pay their respects, with photographs showing mourners dressed in black and holding candles around a portrait of the singer
Toluwanisings’ death has also drawn tributes from fellow gospel musicians. On October 17, gospel singer Bidemi Olaoba honoured him by performing his song, “Kabiysei Olorun Ayo,” at the Night of Elevation, a Christian worship event.
The performance was captured in a video shared on Instagram and formed part of the tributes paid to the late singer by members of the gospel music community.
As of October 21, the family had not announced the singer’s burial arrangements.
