The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Delta State office, will on Monday, 15 December, begin the display of the Preliminary Voter Register for claims and objections across the state.

The exercise will take place in all 25 local government area offices of INEC in the state and will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., a press release issued by the Commission on 11 December stated.

According to the release signed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Sir Etekamba Udo Umoren, the display is scheduled to end on Sunday, 21 December 2025.

In the statement, INEC explained that the exercise is in line with the Electoral Guidelines and is aimed at correcting any anomalies that may have occurred during the recent voter registration exercise.

This, the Commission said, is necessary to ensure the production of an accurate and credible voter register, which remains a critical tool for the conduct of free, fair and credible elections.

The Commission urged eligible voters in the state to take advantage of the opportunity to visit INEC offices in their respective local government areas to verify their details, ensure their names are correctly entered, or report cases of omission.

INEC also encouraged the public to raise objections to the inclusion of names of deceased persons, underage individuals or any other doubtful entries in the register.
