Rising from the meeting, the NEC expressed deep concern over the prevailing insecurity in the country and called on the federal government to prioritise the improvement of the security architecture nationwide to ensure the safety and protection of citizens.

In the same vein, SSASCGOC leadership called on the federal government to immediately settle the outstanding Wage Awards, Promotion Arrears and other entitlements owed Nigerian workers to alleviate the financial burden of workers amidst the current economic challenges.

On the Court judgment between SSASCGOC and AUPCTRE, the NEC urges all Statutory Corporations, and Government Owned Companies’ leadership to implement the decision of the court by not allowing any senior officer to be unionised by the junior union.

Concluding the 2025 NEC meeting, SSASCGOC leadership resolved to foster cooperation and collaboration with the government at all levels, as well as the management of member agencies and organisations, affirming its commitment to upholding the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Trade Union Act,and the Nigerian Labour Law, thus promoting good corporate governance and mutual growth.

Finally, the NEC in session reiterates its commitment to building a Nigerian state that is admired globally.

To this extent, SSASCGOC called on President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to adopt pragmatic approaches in addressing the nation’s social, security, economic, and political challenges through inclusive stakeholder engagement on issues of national interest.
