Ajose urged the promoted officers to consider the new ranks as a call for more service and sacrifice to the national duty.

He enjoined them to remain committed to recognising officers’ hard-work and not to relent in the defence of Nigeria’s sovereignty and wished them well in their future engagements.

In his remarks, the Garrison Commander 8 Division, Brig.-Gen. Muhammad Jibia, said that the promotion was not by surprise but it was a testimony of hard-work and dedication.

Also, Chief of Staff to GOC, Brig.-Gen. Abubakar Suru, congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to live up to their expectations.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of gifts to officers and family reunions. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
