Governor Adeleke recalled Ewhrudjakpo’s connection with Osun State politics, particularly his role as chairman of the 2022 Osun State PDP gubernatorial primary committee.

He said that Ewhrudjakpo helped resolve disputes during the primaries and contributed to a smooth election process that led to Adeleke’s victory.

Following that period, Ewhrudjakpo continued to maintain close ties with Osun, hosting the governor during his visits to Bayelsa State.

The Osun governor highlighted the late deputy governor’s long career in public service, including his tenure as Commissioner for Works under Governor Seriake Dickson, his time as a senator, and his role as a trusted deputy to Governor Douye Diri.

Adeleke described Ewhrudjakpo as a loyal leader who built bridges and partnerships across political divides.

In his message, Adeleke extended condolences to Governor Diri, the people of Bayelsa State, and the family of the late deputy governor. He prayed for strength and comfort for all affected by the loss.
