A High Court sitting in Life Camp, Abuja has warned rapper Odumodublvck over his failure to appear in court in a ₦2 billion assault case.

themomentng reports that the warning was issued on Thursday during proceedings at the Federal Capital Territory High Court. The case was brought by Levi Ogbogiri, known as Kraziecent, who was present in court and ready to continue with the hearing as the only witness.

Counsel to the claimant informed the court that the matter was scheduled for hearing but explained that the defence had written to request a postponement. The letter stated that the defence lawyer was outside the court’s jurisdiction and would not return until the end of May, asking for a new date in June.

Although the claimant’s lawyer did not object to the request, he asked the court to grant it with conditions. He also pointed out that the request did not come directly from the main defence counsel but from another lawyer in the same firm. He further told the court that the case had already been postponed several times, including instances linked to the defence, while other delays were due to court renovation and a period of mourning late in 2025.

In her decision, the trial judge, Adeyemi Ajayi, noted all submissions and warned that failure by the defendant to appear at the next hearing could lead to further action by the court. She then fixed June 23, 2026, for continuation of the case.

The suit stems from an incident in December 2024, when the claimant alleged that he was attacked while capturing photos and videos at a public event. He claimed the incident left him emotionally affected and also damaged his iPhone 15 Pro Max.

As part of the case, the claimant is seeking payment for medical expenses and a public apology across social media platforms and national newspapers. He is also asking the court to award ₦2 billion in damages along with other reliefs.
