England captain, Harry Kane has clinched the European Golden Boot for the second time after another ruthless season in front of goal for Bayern Munich.
Harry Kane finished the 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign with 36 goals in 31 league appearances under Vincent Kompany, earning 72 points to emerge as Europe’s leading scorer across domestic leagues.
Kane finished ahead of Erling Haaland, who scored 27 league goals for Manchester City, while Kylian Mbappe placed third after scoring 25 times for Real Madrid.
It is the second time Kane has claimed the award since joining Bayern, having also won it during his debut season in Germany in 2023/24 when he scored the same number of Bundesliga goals.
The 32-year-old enjoyed the most prolific campaign of his career, scoring 61 goals and registering seven assists in 51 appearances across all competitions for Bayern.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker also capped the season with silverware after netting a hat-trick in Bayern’s DFB Pokal final victory over Stuttgart, helping the Bundesliga giants complete a domestic double.
While Kane was celebrating success in Germany, his former club were battling for survival in the Premier League.
Tottenham secured their top-flight status with a tense 1-0 win over Everton on the final day of the season. Joao Palhinha scored the decisive goal before half-time to keep Spurs in the Premier League and send rivals West Ham United down to the Championship for the first time since 2012, despite West Ham’s 3-0 win over Leeds United.
The result brought relief to Tottenham supporters after a dismal campaign that had threatened the club’s long-standing Premier League status.
Kane, who remains closely connected to Spurs, quickly reacted after the dramatic escape.
Taking to his official 𝕏 account, the Bayern striker wrote: “Congratulations to everyone at the club especially the fans – massive fight and result on the final day!”
As Spurs fought to avoid relegation, Kane continued building a trophy collection that had long eluded him during his years in north London. Since completing his £86 million move from Spurs to Bayern Munich, Kane has now won four trophies in Germany.
