During the holiday period, the president received Vice-President Kashim Shettima and several groups that paid him the traditional Sallah homage.

Among them were the leadership of the Senate led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and members of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) under the leadership of its Chairman and Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Also among the visitors were APC stakeholders from Oyo State led by the party’s governorship candidate, Sen. Sharafadeen Alli, as well as APC candidates for the House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly.

On Monday, Tinubu attended the International Fleet Review at the Eko Atlantic Waterfront in Lagos as part of activities marking the 70th anniversary of the Nigerian Navy.

The president inaugurated three naval vessels, NNS Oloibiri, NNS Mambilla and NNS Gurara during the event.

He also received President Romuald Wadagni of Benin Republic in a meeting aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, regional cooperation and economic partnership between both countries.

Before the Eid-el-Kabir holiday, Tinubu participated in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries held in Lagos.

He voted at his Ikoyi polling unit and was subsequently endorsed by party members nationwide as the APC presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.
