According to her, although her parents ensured she had a strong Islamic foundation, she had questions about faith that she struggled to find answers to.

She said things changed when she moved to northern Nigeria for her tertiary education, where she met her now-fiancé, a gospel artist. Through him, she was introduced to Bible study and other aspects of the Christian faith.

The lady claimed that after years of learning and asking questions, she made the decision in 2024 to convert to Christianity.

She said she eventually informed her parents about her decision, a move that reportedly triggered a strong reaction from her father.

He told her “I will rather see you dead than convert to Christianity.”
