Speaking on Monday to supporters in yellow caps and patterned outfits, Governor Ademola Adeleke said Osun will reject any rigging attempts in the August 15 governorship election, warning it could revive the political crisis that ousted Michael Ajasin in Ondo State in 1983.
He cited recent violence against Accord Party members—seven killed, over 20 injured, and more than 60 detained-accusing police of aiding APC thugs and urging Tinubu to intervene.
With the Accord endorsing Tinubu for 2027 despite tensions, both sides have traded blame over attacks as the vote nears, raising stakes for southwest politics.
